Jeff Blais

General Manager

Jeff Blais is a seasoned club and resort executive with over 30 years of experience.  He joined the Frederica family in June of 2016 as the General Manager of Frederica Golf Club. 


Jeff last served as the General Manager and COO of the Green Island Country Club in Columbus, GA, a private club with an 18 –hole George Cobb designed golf course, which hosted the PGA Tour’s Buick Challenge for 22 years.  He has also been the General Manager of Wachesaw Plantation Club and Callaway Gardens Resort & Club, among other prestigious establishments, and previously directed lodging operations at Sea Island. 

Jeff is originally from Lake George, New York, a small resort community in upstate New York with a population less than 900 people.  Lake George is known for its beautiful 32 mile long spring fed lake teeming with outdoor activities. 

Jeff graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Castleton State College in Vermont.  He has garnered many professional awards over the years and has also served as President of the Georgia Chapter of the Club Manager’s Association of America and was also a member of the Board for eight years.  Jeff is a Certified Club Manager, the highest recognition you can achieve in the private club industry and a Certified Club Executive for recognition of successful achievement and continuous tenure in the private club industry. 

Jeff and his wife of 27 years, Debbie, grew up in neighboring villages.  They have two teenage daughters, Lily and Lucie.  The Blais family enjoys spending valuable time together site seeing, exploring and traveling.  They love the outdoors, going to the beach and the girls love shopping!

Jeff would like to share that, “as General Manager, I see my role as to support, encourage, and lead this gifted and talented team to continuously improve as individuals and as a business.”  Jeff is honored to serve as the General Manager for this beautiful club and looks forward to making a long term commitment to St. Simons Island and Frederica.

Georges Reichen

Executive Chef

With over 30 years of experience in fine dining in Country Clubs, restaurants and hotels Chef Georges has a deep knowledge of menu development and preparing culinary dishes influenced by diverse regions around the world.

At an early age, Georges found out that he had a passion for food and the culinary arts. Chef Georges attended Culinary Chef School in Interlaken, Switzerland where he studied Classic French Cuisine while completing his Apprenticeship at Hotel Hirschen in Grindelwald, as well as a year at Hotel Krone in Thun, Switzerland.

After living and working in Switzerland, Chef Georges had a career opportunity at Romanoff’s, a Classic French fine dining restaurant in Bermuda; he was the Chef de Cuisine for six years before moving to Grand Cayman Island where he spent a year with the Hyatt as the Chef of Hemingway’s restaurant.

Georges relocated to Atlanta in 1994 and joined the Atlanta Country Club where he became the Executive Chef after one year and remained for 16 years to lead their culinary team and gained many years of upscale Golf Club experience. In 2012 Georges made a transition to the 1818 Club in Duluth, Georgia.
