Daren Johnson,  Director of Golf

Daren has spent 20 years in the golf business serving members and guests at prestigious clubs including Pine Valley, Mountaintop, and Old Memorial. Daren was also Director of Golf at Adena Golf and Country Club where he worked closely with our Director of Agronomy and Grounds, Asa High. Most recently Daren served as Director of Golf at The Clubs at Cordillera Ranch in the Texas Hill Country outside San Antonio. As a graduate of Stetson University, he was a four-year member of the men's golf team. When not satisfying the golf needs of members and guests, Daren enjoys spending time with his two daughters. Dylan Malafronte,  Head Golf Professional

Dylan is a Connecticut native and grew up in Tampa, FL. He attended Florida State University where he graduated with a degree in Business and Professional Golf Management. He has spent time working at golf clubs such as TPC Jasna Polana, Adena Golf and Country Club and most recently Charlotte Country Club. Dylan is a three-time qualifier for the PGA Professional Championship playing most recently in 2019 Championship at Belfair in Bluffton, SC.  Contact Dylan at

Austin Kleynenberg,  Assistant Golf Professional
no-photoAustin is a Michigan native and grew up in South Carolina. He attended Coastal Carolina University where he graduated with a degree in Business and Professional Golf Management in 2016. Through the golf program at Coastal, Austin completed internships at The Riviera Country Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, and The Ford Plantation. In 2017, Austin joined the PGA and accepted a full time position at the The Ford Plantation as Lead Assistant Golf Professional. Austin was awarded the 2018 Georgia PGA Growth of the Game Award & the 2019 Georgia PGA East Chapter Assistant Professional of the year. Contact Austin at

Chris is a Florida native, having grown up in the Ft. Myers/Naples area. Chris graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in May of 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degrees in PGA Professional Golf Management and Resort & Hospitality Management. From 2018 to 2020, Chris molded and polished himself as a young professional by interning and serving as an assistant professional at historic and renowned clubs such as The Baltimore Country Club, The Old Edwards Club, and Quail Valley Golf Club. Chris was elected a member to the PGA in June of 2020, and now strives to create a world class environment, along with lasting memories for the members and guests of Frederica, alongside the rest of the Professional Team.
